     John Blennerhassett was born on 15 June 1715.1 He was the son of Colonel John Blennerhassett and Jane Denny.1 He married, firstly, Anne Crosbie, daughter of Colonel William Crosbie, on 21 February 1736.1 He married, secondly, Frances Herbert, daughter of Edward Herbert, on 10 April 1753.2 He died in 1763.1
     John Blennerhassett was admitted to Middle Temple in 1733.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Kerry in 1740.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Kerry between 1751 and 1760.1

     Anne Crosbie was the daughter of Colonel William Crosbie.1 She married, firstly, John Leslie.1 She married, secondly, John Blennerhassett, son of Colonel John Blennerhassett and Jane Denny, on 21 February 1736.1
     Her married name became Leslie.1 From 21 February 1736, her married name became Blennerhassett.1

     From 2 October 1784, her married name became Browne.1 She lived at Arabela, Ballymacelligott, County Kerry, Ireland, which she inherited from her cousin Arthur in 1810.1
