     Thomas Herbert was the son of Edward Herbert and Hon. Frances Browne.1,2 He married, firstly, Anne Martin, daughter of John Martin.3 He married, secondly, Agnes Bland, daughter of Reverend James Francis Bland and Charity Orpen.3 He died in 1779.1
     He was educated in 1744 at St. John's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ludlow.2 He lived at Muckross, County Kerry, Ireland.2
