     William Mark Alexander was the son of Captain Caledon Du Pré Alexander and Caroline Ewing.1 He died on 2 May 1885, drowned in the River Tweed.1

     Colonel Hervey Alexander was born on 3 June 1859.1 He was the son of Captain Caledon Du Pré Alexander and Caroline Ewing.1 He married Mildred Maria Prideaux-Brune, daughter of Charles Glynn Prideaux-Brune, on 17 April 1890.1 He died in March 1936 at age 76.1
     Colonel Hervey Alexander was decorated with the award of Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.).1 He gained the rank of Brevet Colonel in the service of the 10th Hussars.1 He fought in the Boer War.1

     Mildred Maria Prideaux-Brune was the daughter of Charles Glynn Prideaux-Brune.1 She married Colonel Hervey Alexander, son of Captain Caledon Du Pré Alexander and Caroline Ewing, on 17 April 1890.1 She died on 19 September 1945.1
     From 17 April 1890, her married name became Alexander.1
