     Captain Granville Henry Jackson Alexander was born on 26 June 1852.¹ He was the son of Henry Alexander and Lady Louisa Juliana Knox.¹ He married Daisy Matthews, daughter of M. Matthews, on 25 February 1880. They had no children.¹ He died on 3 September 1930 at age 78.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 83rd Regiment.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 3rd Battalion Royal Irish Fusiliers.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff in 1883.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He lived at Forkill House, County Armagh, Ireland^G.      Daisy Matthews was the daughter of M. Matthews.¹ She married Captain Granville Henry Jackson Alexander, son of Henry Alexander and Lady Louisa Juliana Knox, on 25 February 1880. They had no children.¹ She died on 20 September 1939.¹
     From 25 February 1880, her married name became Alexander.¹
