     Frances Tempest was the daughter of John Tempest and Frances Shuttleworth.2 She married Rev. Sir Henry Vane, 1st Bt., son of George Vane and Anne Machon, on 3 March 1768 at St. Mary-le-Bow, Durham, County Durham, England.1,3 She died on 12 January 1796.2
     From 3 March 1768, her married name became Vane.1

     Robert Colville of Hiltoun married Margaret Logan.1 He died circa January 1495/96.1
     He held the office of King's Chamberlain and Steward to Margaret of Denmark, Consort of King James III.1 On 10 October 1483 he had charter of Hiltoun.1

Sir James Colville of Ochiltree1

     Sir James Colville of Ochiltree was the son of Sir Robert Colville of Hiltoun and Ochiltree and Elizabeth Arnot.2 He married, firstly, Alison Bruce, daughter of Sir David Bruce, 7th of Clackmannan and Janet Blackadder.1 He married, secondly, Margaret Forrester, daughter of unknown Forrester, on 21 May 1536.1 He died circa 4 December 1540.1
     According to D.N.B., he was son of Robert COlville of Ochitree and Margaret Logan, whcih would make hioma brother of Sir Robert Colville of Hiltoun, not son.3 He held the office of Comptroller of the Household [Scotland] in 1526.1 In 1530 he obtained Easter Wemyss from Sir James Hamilton of Finnart in exchange for Ochiltree.1 He held the office of Judge of the Court of Session in 1532.1 In 1540/41 he was attainted for treason.1

     Sir David Bruce, 6th of Clackmannan was the son of John Bruce, 5th of Clackmannan and Elizabeth Stewart.1 He married, secondly, Mariot Herries, daughter of Robert Herries of Terregles.1 He married, firstly, Janet Stirling, daughter of Sir William Stirling, 2nd of Keir.1 He died circa 1500.2
     He was appointed Knight by King James IV.1
