     Sir Robert Bruce of Airth was born circa 1472.2 He was the son of John Bruce of Stenhouse and Elizabeth Menteith.3 He married Eupheme Montgomerie, daughter of Alexander Montgomerie, Master of Montgomerie and Catherine Kennedy, circa 1494.3,4 He died on 9 September 1513 at Flodden Field, Northumberland, England, killed in action.4
     He fought in the Battle of Flodden on 9 September 1513.4

     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Hope, of Craighall [N.S., 1628].1

     Sir David Bruce, 7th of Clackmannan was the son of Sir David Bruce, 6th of Clackmannan and Mariot Herries.2 He married Janet Blackadder, daughter of Sir Patrick Blackadder of Tulliallan.2 He died after 1556.3
     He lived at Clackmannan, Clackmannanshire, ScotlandG.4 In 1497 Clackmannan was settled on him by his father.2
