     Alice Dudley Coats was the daughter of Sir James Coats, 1st Bt. and Sarah Ann Auchincloss.2 She married Theodore Frelinghuysen, son of Hon. Frederick Frelinghuysen, on 25 August 1885.1 She died on 2 March 1889.1
     From 25 August 1885, her married name became Frelinghuysen.
