     Naomi May Margaret Haldane was born circa 1898.3 She was the daughter of John Scott Haldane and Louisa Kathleen Trotter.1,2 She married Gilbert Richard Mitchison, Baron Mitchison, son of Arthur Maw Mitchison and Mary Emmeline Russell, on 11 February 1916.1 She died on 11 January 1999.3
     From 11 February 1916, her married name became Mitchison.1 She was an author of over 50 books.3 She was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.).3

     John Scott Haldane was born on 2 May 1860.3 He is the son of Robert Haldane and Mary Elizabeth Burdon-Sanderson.2 He married Louisa Kathleen Trotter, daughter of Coutts Trotter, on 12 December 1891.3 He died on 14 March 1936 at age 75.3
