     He succeeded to the title of 6th Baron Hotham of South Dalton [I., 1797] on 13 December 1907.² He succeeded to the title of 16th Baronet Hotham [E., 1622] on 13 December 1907.¹

     Eliza Benita Sanders was the daughter of Thomas Saunders and Mary Charlotte Dunn.^1,2 She married Frederick William Hotham, 6th Baron Hotham of South Dalton, son of Reverend William Francis Hotham and Emma Carbonell, on 9 July 1902.¹ She died on 14 December 1954.¹
      From 9 July 1902, her married name became Hotham.¹ As a result of her marriage, Eliza Benita Sanders was styled as Baroness Hotham of South Dalton on 13 December 1907.
