     Jean Ramsay is the daughter of Reverend James Ramsay and Rebecca Akers.2,1 She married Aretas Akers, son of Aretas Akers and Jean Douglas, on 19 March 1795.1
     From 19 March 1795, her married name became Akers.

     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Kent.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Kent.1 He lived at Malling Abbey, Kent, EnglandG.1

     Ellen Akers was born on 28 December 1845 at Dover, Kent, England.2 She is the daughter of James Ramsay Akers and Mary Louisa Goodrich.3 She was baptised on 1 February 1846 at Dover, Kent, England.2 She married Brig.-Gen. Arthur Augustus Sanders, son of John James Saunders and Isabella Susanna Boyd, on 17 August 1871 at St. Leonard's-on-Sea, Sussex, England.2 She died on 31 August 1905 at age 59 at Red House, Overbury, Worcestershire, England.2
     From 17 August 1871, her married name became Saunders.2
