     Hon. Roger Hugh Montgomerie was born on 1 July 1923.¹ He is the son of Archibald Seton Montgomerie, 16th Earl of Eglinton and Marjorie McIntyre.¹
     Hon. Roger Hugh Montgomerie was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Air Force.¹ He was decorated with the award of Distinguished Flying Cross (D.F.C.) in 1944.¹ He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1949 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).¹ He lived in 2003 at Lanehead, Dunscore, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.¹

     Lady Anne Montgomerie is the daughter of Archibald Seton Montgomerie, 16th Earl of Eglinton and Marjorie McIntyre.¹ She married Major Gordon Alexander Smith, son of Alexander Smith, on 8 December 1942.¹ She and Major Gordon Alexander Smith were divorced in 1951.¹

     Her married name became Crawford. She lived in 2003 at Newington House, Cupar, Fife, Scotland.¹

     Brigadier Alistair Wardrop Euing Crawford was born in 1896.² He was the son of Colonel Euing Russell Crawford and Ethel Kate Paul.² He married Helena Beatrice Dundas, daughter of Admiral Sir Charles Hope Dundas of Dundas and Helen Burgess Watson, on 1 October 1924.³ He died in 1978.²
     Brigadier Alistair Wardrop Euing Crawford held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).³ He gained the rank of Brigadier in the service of the Royal Scots Greys.³ He lived at Auchentroig, Buchlyvie, Stirlingshire, Scotland.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).³

     Admiral Sir Charles Hope Dundas of Dundas was born on 9 August 1859.¹ He is the son of Adam Alexander Duncan Dundas of Dundas and Charlotte Maria Hope.² He married Helen Burgess Watson, daughter of Edwin Burges Watson and Mary Wauchope, on 26 May 1897.¹ He died on 1 July 1924 at age 64.¹
     Admiral Sir Charles Hope Dundas of Dundas held the position of 28th Chief of the Name and Arms of Dundas in 1904.¹ He was recognised by the Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Office on 7 November 1905.¹ He was Naval Attaché to Tokyo between 1908 and 1910.¹ He was decorated with the award of Order of the Rising Sun of Japan (2nd class).³ He was Rear-Admiral of the the Nore between 1911 and 1913.³ He was Principal Naval Transport Officer between 1915 and 1917 at France.³ He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1917.¹ He was decorated with the award of Legion of Honour.⁴ He was decorated with the award of Order of the Redeemer of Greece.¹ He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM George V in 1920.¹

     Alexander William Euing Crawford was born on 21 March 1967.¹ He is the son of Captain David Dundas Euing Crawford and Lady Susanna Montgomerie.¹
