     Hon. Roger Hugh Montgomerie was born on 1 July 1923.1 He was the son of Archibald Seton Montgomerie, 16th Earl of Eglinton and Marjorie McIntyre.1 He died on 7 August 2011 at age 88 at Dunscore, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (D.F.C.) in 1944.1 He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1949 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He lived in 2003 at Lanehead, Dunscore, Dumfries-shire, ScotlandG.1

     Lady Anne Montgomerie is the daughter of Archibald Seton Montgomerie, 16th Earl of Eglinton and Marjorie McIntyre.1 She married Major Gordon Alexander Smith, son of Alexander Smith, on 8 December 1942.1 She and Major Gordon Alexander Smith were divorced in 1951.1
     Her married name became Smith.

     Major Gordon Alexander Smith is the son of Alexander Smith.1 He married Lady Anne Montgomerie, daughter of Archibald Seton Montgomerie, 16th Earl of Eglinton and Marjorie McIntyre, on 8 December 1942.1 He and Lady Anne Montgomerie were divorced in 1951.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the 12th Royal Lancers.1

     Her married name became Crawford. She lived in 2003 at Newington House, Cupar, Fife, ScotlandG.1

     Brigadier Alistair Wardrop Euing Crawford was born in 1896.2 He was the son of Colonel Euing Russell Crawford and Ethel Kate Paul.2 He married Helena Beatrice Dundas, daughter of Admiral Sir Charles Hope Dundas of Dundas and Helen Burgess Watson, on 1 October 1924.3 He died in 1978.2
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)3 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)3 He gained the rank of Brigadier in the Royal Scots Greys.3 He lived at Auchentroig, Buchlyvie, Stirlingshire, ScotlandG.1

     Helena Beatrice Dundas was born on 21 June 1899.2 She was the daughter of Admiral Sir Charles Hope Dundas of Dundas and Helen Burgess Watson.1,3 She married Brigadier Alistair Wardrop Euing Crawford, son of Colonel Euing Russell Crawford and Ethel Kate Paul, on 1 October 1924.2 She died in 1977.4
     From 1 October 1924, her married name became Crawford.

Admiral Sir Charles Hope Dundas of Dundas1

     Admiral Sir Charles Hope Dundas of Dundas was born on 9 August 1859.1 He was the son of Adam Alexander Duncan Dundas of Dundas and Charlotte Maria Hope.2 He married Helen Burgess Watson, daughter of Edwin Burges Watson and Mary Wauchope, on 26 May 1897.1 He died on 1 July 1924 at age 64.1
     He held the position of 28th Chief of the Name and Arms of Dundas from in 1904.1 He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court on 7 November 1905.1 He was Naval Attaché to Tokyo between 1908 and 1910.1 He was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun of Japan 2nd class.2 He was Rear-Admiral of the the Nore between 1911 and 1913.2 He was Principal Naval Transport Officer between 1915 and 1917 at FranceG.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1917.1 He was awarded the Chevalier, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur.3 He was awarded the Order of the Redeemer of Greece.1 He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM George V in 1920.1
