     Isabella Finnie was born on 2 May 1822 at Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland^G.¹ She was the daughter of William Finnie and Janet Anderson.¹ She married Reverend John McEwen, son of Robert McEwen of Bardrochat and Jean McIlwraith, on 12 January 1860.¹
     From 12 January 1860, her married name became McEwen.¹

     Reverend John McEwen was born on 9 July 1803.² He was the son of Robert McEwen of Bardrochat and Jean McIlwraith.² He married Isabella Finnie, daughter of William Finnie and Janet Anderson, on 12 January 1860.³ He died on 11 May 1866 at age 62.²
     He was educated at Ayr Academy, Ayrshire, Scotland^G.² He was educated at Glasgow University, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.² He was Minister at Kirkmichael in Carrick, Scotland.²

     Jessie McEwen was born on 3 July 1862 at Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland^G.¹ She was the daughter of Reverend John McEwen and Isabella Finnie.¹
