Sir Philip Chetwynd was the son of Richard Chetwynd and Thomasina Frodsham.2 He married, firstly, Elene de la Roche, daughter of Thomas de la Roche and Elizabeth of Bermingham, in 1438.1 He married, secondly, Johanna Burley, daughter of Sir William Burley, in 1442.1 He died in 1444, without issue.1
