     Major Edmund Walcott Newland was born on 11 January 1858.1 He was the son of Captain Charles Frankland Newland and Anne Elizabeth Wood Walcott.1 He was baptised on 18 February 1858 at Wells, Norfolk, England.1 He married Ellen Charlotte Hornby, daughter of Charles Hornby, in 1900 at St. Paul's Church, Onslow Square, Kensington, London, England.1 He died in 1937 at Bournemouth, Dorset, England.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the Army Pay Department.1

From 30 April 1982, her married name became Wedgwood. She lived in 2003 at 9 St. Anne's Crescent, Lewes, Sussex, England.1
