Sir George Allanson Cayley, 8th Bt. was born on 31 December 1831.1 He was the son of Sir Digby Cayley, 7th Bt. and Dorothy Allanson.2 He married Catherine Louisa Worsley, daughter of Sir William Worsley, 1st Bt. and Sarah Philadephia Cayley, on 5 July 1859 at St. James' Church, Westminster, London, England.1,3 He died on 10 October 1895 at age 63 at Port Said, Egypt.1,3 He was buried at Brompton, Yorkshire, England.3 His will was probated, at £62,274 gross and £54,522 net.3
Sir George Allanson Cayley, 8th Bt. was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Yorkshire Hussars.3 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Denbighshire in 1883.1 He succeeded to the title of 8th Baronet Cayley, of Brompton, co. York [E., 1661] on 21 December 1883.1

Sir George Chad, 1st Bt. was born in 1730.1 He was the son of Robert Chad and Elizabeth Wright.1 He married, firstly, Sarah Rowles, daughter of John Rowles, in 1775.1 He married, secondly, Mary Fletcher, daughter of Edward Fletcher, in 1791.1 He died on 24 November 1815.1 His will was probated in 1816.1

Norfolk [Great Britain] on 28 July 1791.1
