     Margaret Violet Stirling was the daughter of John Stirling of Fairburn.2 She married Colonel Sir Hector Munro of Foulis, 11th Bt., son of Sir Charles Munro of Foulis, 10th Bt. and Mary Anne Nicholson, on 7 April 1880.1 She died on 20 February 1946.1
     From 7 April 1880, her married name became Munro.1

     Captain Hector Charles Seymour Munro was born on 30 March 1895.1 He was the son of Colonel Sir Hector Munro of Foulis, 11th Bt. and Margaret Violet Stirling.2 He died on 23 October 1918 at age 23, killed in action.1
     Captain Hector Charles Seymour Munro fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Seaforth Highlanders.1 He was decorated with the award of Military Cross (M.C.) in 1918.1
