     Patrick Lindsay was born circa 1571.1 He was the son of John Lindsay and Janet Williamson.1 He married, firstly, Margaret Lundie.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Arnot, daughter of Peter Arnot of Balcarno.1 He died in 1625.1
     Patrick Lindsay was Commissary of the Archbishopric of St. Andrews.1 He lived at Wormiston, Fife, Scotland.1

     Patrick Lindsay, 3rd of Wormiston was the son of John Lindsay and Elspeth Lentron.1 He married Catherine Bethune, daughter of Robert Bethune, 1st of Bandon and Marion Inglis, on 18 June 1657.2
     Patrick Lindsay, 3rd of Wormiston lived at Wormiston, Fife, Scotland.1 He fought in the Battle of Worcester in 1651, where he was captured by Crowmell's troops.1

     Catherine Bethune was born circa 1640.2 She was the daughter of Robert Bethune, 1st of Bandon and Marion Inglis.1,2 She married Patrick Lindsay, 3rd of Wormiston, son of John Lindsay and Elspeth Lentron, on 18 June 1657.2 She died on 6 March 1730.2
     Catherine Bethune lived at Bandon, Fife, Scotland. From 18 June 1657, her married name became Lindsay.2
