     John Campbell of Cawdor was the son of Sir John Campbell, 4th of Cawdor and Jean Campbell.2 He married Elizabeth Urquhart, daughter of Sir Thomas Urquhart of Cromarty, in 1622.1 He died in 1654.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Nairnshire.1 In 1622 his father made over Cawdor to him.1

     Jean Campbell was the daughter of John Campbell of Cawdor and Elizabeth Urquhart.2 She married William Forbes, 11th Lord Forbes, son of Lt.-Gen. Alexander Forbes, 10th Lord Forbes and Anne Forbes, in 1648.1 She died on 10 December 1666.3
     From 1648, her married name became Forbes.
