Captain Sir Edward Walter1

     Captain Sir Edward Walter was born in 1824.1 He was the son of John Walter and Mary Smythe.1 He married Mary Anne Althorpe, daughter of J. C. Althorpe.1 He died on 28 February 1904.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 8th Hussars.1 In 1859 he founded the Corps of Commissionaires.1 He was appointed Knight in 1885.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1887.1

Daniel Sandford, son of Reverend Daniel Sandford and Sarah Chapone, on 11 October 1790.1 She died on 11 January 1837 at age 67 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1
     From 11 October 1790, her married name became Sandford.1

     Gilbert of the Haye was the son of Sir William de la Haye, 1st Lord Hay and Margaret Gray.2 He married Alice Hay, daughter of Sir William Hay of Lochorwart and Yester and Alice de la Haye.2 He died on 7 September 1436.2
     In 1424 he was hostage in England for King James I's ransom.2
