     From circa 1528, her married name became Paulet.²

     Catherine Glynne was born on 6 January 1812 at Hawarden Castle, Flintshire, Wales^G.² She was the daughter of Sir Stephen Richard Glynne, 8th Bt. and Hon. Mary Griffin.^1,3 She married Rt. Hon. William Ewart Gladstone, son of Sir John Gladstone, 1st Bt. and Anne MacKenzie Robertson, on 25 July 1839 at Liverpool, Lancashire, England^G.¹ She died on 14 June 1900 at age 88 at Hawarden Castle, Flintshire, Wales^G.¹
     From 25 July 1839, her married name became Gladstone.¹
