     John le Scrope, 8th Lord Scrope of Bolton was the son of Henry le Scrope, 7th Lord Scrope of Bolton and Mabel Dacre.2,3 He married Lady Catherine Clifford, daughter of Henry Clifford, 1st Earl of Cumberland and Lady Margaret Percy, circa 1530.1 He died on 22 June 1549.1

     John West, 6th Baron Delaware was born circa 1663.1 He was the son of Charles West, 5th Baron Delaware and Anne Wild.2 He married Margaret Freeman, daughter of John Freeman, in June 1691.1 He died on 26 May 1723 at New Palace Yard, London, England.1
     John West, 6th Baron Delaware succeeded to the title of 6th Baron Delaware [E., 1570] on 22 December 1687.3 He held the office of Treasurer of the Chamber from 1713 to 1714.3 He held the office of Teller of the Exchequer from 1714 to 1715.3

     Margaret Freeman was the daughter of John Freeman.1 She married, firstly, Thomas Salwey, son of Richard Salwey, before 1691.2 She married, secondly, John West, 6th Baron Delaware, son of Charles West, 5th Baron Delaware and Anne Wild, in June 1691.1 She died on 31 January 1737/38.1
     From before 1691, her married name became Salwey.2 As a result of her marriage, Margaret Freeman was styled as Baroness Delaware in June 1691. From June 1691, her married name became West.1

     Charles West, 5th Baron Delaware was born circa February 1626.1 He was the son of Henry West, 4th Baron Delaware and Isabella Edmunds.1 He married Anne Wild, daughter of John Wild, on 25 September 1642 at Highgate, London, England.1 He died on 22 December 1687.1
     Charles West, 5th Baron Delaware succeeded to the title of 5th Baron Delaware [E., 1570] on 1 June 1628.2 He was Commissioner to treat with the Scots during their invasion of England in 1646.2 In August 1659 he was imprisoned on suspicion of being implicated in Sir George Booth's plot to restore King Charles II.2
