John Douglas1

     John Douglas was born on 6 March 1828.1 He was the son of Henry Alexander Douglas and Elizabeth Dalzell.2 He married, firstly, Mary Simpson, daughter of Reverend J. Simpson, in January 1861.1 He married, secondly, Sarah Hickey, daughter of Michael Hickey and Margaret Coffee, in 1877.1 He died on 23 July 1904 at age 76.1
     He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)1 He was Special Commissioner to British New Guinea.1 He held the office of Premier of Queensland.1

     Edward Octavious Douglas was born on 19 September 1830.1 He was the son of Henry Alexander Douglas and Elizabeth Dalzell.2 He married Hannah Charlotte Scott-Douglas, daughter of Sir John James Scott-Douglas, 3rd Bt. and Hannah Charlotte Scott, on 3 November 1859.1 He died on 9 March 1890 at age 59, without issue.1
     He lived at Killichassie, Perthshire, ScotlandG.1

Hannah Charlotte Scott-Douglas1

     Hannah Charlotte Scott-Douglas was the daughter of Sir John James Scott-Douglas, 3rd Bt. and Hannah Charlotte Scott.1,2 She married Edward Octavious Douglas, son of Henry Alexander Douglas and Elizabeth Dalzell, on 3 November 1859.1 She died on 27 April 1921.1
     Her married name became Douglas.

     Sir John James Scott-Douglas, 3rd Bt. was the son of Sir George Douglas, 2nd Bt. and Lady Elizabeth Boyle.2 He married Hannah Charlotte Scott, daughter of Henry Scott, on 15 August 1822.2 He died on 23 January 1836.2
     He fought in the Peninsular Wars.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the 15th Hussars.2 He fought in the Battle of Waterloo in 1815.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Douglas, of Springwood Park, co. Roxburgh [N.S., 1786] on 4 June 1821.2

     From before 1861, her married name became Howe.1 Her married name became Douglas.
