Reverend Sir Charles Clarke, 2nd Bt. was born on 15 June 1812.3 He was the son of Sir Charles Mansfield Clarke, 1st Bt. and Mary Anna Squire.2 He married Rosa Mary Alexander, daughter of Henry Alexander, on 24 April 1838.3 He died on 25 April 1899 at age 86.4
Reverend Sir Charles Clarke, 2nd Bt. was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1831 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.).3 He was the Rector between 1846 and 1863 at Hanwell, Middlesex, England.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Essex.3 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Clarke, of Dunham Lodge, co. Norfolk [U.K., 1831] in 1857.3

Rosa Mary Alexander is the daughter of Henry Alexander.2 She married Reverend Sir Charles Clarke, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Charles Mansfield Clarke, 1st Bt. and Mary Anna Squire, on 24 April 1838.1 She died on 26 August 1885.1
