     James Robert Campbell was born on 24 May 1822.1 He was the son of Sir Duncan Campbell of Barcaldine, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Dreghorn Dennistoun.2 He died on 15 May 1843 at age 20.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 43rd Madras Native Infantry.1

Maj.-Gen. John Peter William Campbell1

     Maj.-Gen. John Peter William Campbell was born on 18 March 1824.1 He was the son of Sir Duncan Campbell of Barcaldine, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Dreghorn Dennistoun.2 He married, firstly, Frances Charlotte Begbie, daughter of Alfred William Begbie and Margaret Anna Grant, on 14 October 1847 at Landour, Bengal, India.1,3 He married, secondly, Louisa Campbell, daughter of Alexander Campbell of Monzie and Christina Cameron, on 10 August 1875.2 He died on 30 October 1901 at age 77.2
     He was in the Bengal Civil Service.2 He gained the rank of Major-General in the Bengal Staff Corps.1

     Alfred William Begbie was born in 1801 at Hendon, London, England.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Anna Grant, daughter of James Grant and Harriet Montagu, on 30 August 1824 at Allahabad, Bengal, India.3,4 He married, secondly, Margaret Watt, daughter of Isaac Watt and Katharine Webster, on 22 February 1836 at Allahabad, Bengal, India.4 He married, thirdly, Lucy Sharp on 4 October 1848 at Simla, Bengal, India.2 He died on 5 June 1873 at Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England.2
     He was in the Honourable East India Company Service between 1821 and 1853.3 He lived at Stenton Lodge, Tunbridge Wells, Sussex, England.5

John Peter William Campbell, son of Sir Duncan Campbell of Barcaldine, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Dreghorn Dennistoun, on 14 October 1847 at Landour, Bengal, India.1,3 She died on 1 January 1874 at age 48 at Edwardesabad, Bengal, India.1,3
     From 14 October 1847, her married name became Campbell.1

     Colonel Sir Alexander William Dennistoun Campbell of Barcaldine, 4th Bt. was born on 8 September 1848.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. John Peter William Campbell and Frances Charlotte Begbie.2 He died on 11 April 1931 at age 82, unmarried.1
     He fought in the Afghan War between 1878 and 1880.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Indian Staff Corps, formerly 16th Lancers and 15th Hussars.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Campbell, of Barcaldine, co. Argyll [U.K., 1831] on 21 July 1900.1

     He fought in the Upper Burma Campaign between 1886 and 1889.1 He was in the Bengal Civil Service.1 He held the office of District Judge for Central India.1 He held the office of Commissioner of Burma.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Campbell, of Barcaldine, co. Argyll [U.K., 1831] on 11 April 1931.1
