     Friedrich II Herzog von Anhalt-Dessau was born on 19 August 1856. He was the son of Leopold Friedrich I Franz Nikolaus Fürst von Anhalt-Dessau and Antionette Charlotte Marie Jospehine Karoline Frida Prinzessin von Sachsen-Altenburg. He married Marie Prinzessin von Baden, daughter of Ludwig Wilhelm Prinz von Baden and Mariya Herzogin von Leuchtenberg, on 2 July 1889. He died on 21 April 1918 at age 61 at Ballenstedt, GermanyG.
     He gained the title of Herzog von Anhalt-Dessau.
