Sir Richard Butler, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir Walter Butler, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Butler.1 He married Elizabeth (?).1 He died in 1679/80 at Germany.1 His will (dated 16 Novemeber 1678) was probated on 20 January 1680 at Ireland.1
Sir Richard Butler, 2nd Bt. succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Butler, of Poulstoun, co. Kilkenny [I., 1645] circa 1650.1 He lived at Polestown, Gowran, County Kilkenny, Ireland.2

Sir Walter Butler, 3rd Bt. was born circa 1678.1 He was the son of Sir Richard Butler, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth (?).1 He married, firstly, Lucy Butler, daughter of Walter Butler and Mary Plunkett, in April 1697.1 He married, secondly, unknown wife (?) before 1706.1 He and unknown wife (?) were separated and she went to live in London.1 He died on 8 October 1723.1 He died intestate and his estate was administered on 14 March 1723/24 at Ireland.1

Sir Edmund Butler, 4th Bt. was born circa 1708.1 He was the son of Sir Walter Butler, 3rd Bt. and unknown wife (?).1 He died between September 1762 and October 1762 at Paris, France, without male issue.1
Sir Edmund Butler, 4th Bt. succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Butler, of Poulstoun, co. Kilkenny [I., 1645] on 8 October 1723.1 He gained the rank of Colonel of Horse in the service of the French Army.1
On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1
