G/Capt. Nicolas Henry Joseph Tindal was born on 7 March 1911.2 He was the son of Commander Ralph Tindal and Kathleen Mangan.2 He married Winifred Mary Cooper, daughter of Major Harold Cooper, on 27 June 1936.2 He died in 2006.3
He was given the name of Nicolas Henry Joseph Tindal-Carill-Worsley at birth.3 On 11 December 1913 his name was legally changed to Nicolas Henry Joseph Tindal.3 He gained the rank of Group Captain in the service of the Royal Air Force.1 In 1990 his name was legally changed to Nicolas Henry Joseph Tindal-Carill-Worsley by Royal Licence.3 He lived at Ballyloughan House, Bruckless, County Donegal, Ireland.4
