     From 1 December 1793, her married name became Smith.1

     Anne Jervoise was the daughter of Sir Samuel Clarke Jervoise, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Griffenhoofe.1,2 She married, firstly, Ralph William Grey before 1827.1 She married, secondly, John Abel Smith, son of John Smith and Elizabeth Tucker, on 26 December 1827.1 She died on 24 January 1858.1

     Sir Samuel Clarke Jervoise, 1st Bt. was born on 25 November 1770 at London, England.2 He was the son of Jervoise Clarke Jervoise.2 He married Elizabeth Griffenhoofe on 3 February 1799 at Eton, Berkshire, England.2 He died on 1 October 1852 at age 81 at Richmond, Surrey, England.2
     He was given the name of Samuel Clarke at birth.2 He graduated from Corpus Christi College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1788 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He graduated from Corpus Christi College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1795 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He was Rector between 1795 and 1835 at Blendworth, Hampshire, England.2 In 1808 his name was legally changed to Samuel Clarke Jervoise.2 He was created 1st Baronet Jervoise in 1813.
