Sir George Broun of Thornidykes, 3rd Bt. was born on 26 May 1679.2 He was the son of Alexander Broun and Catharine Swinton.1 He married Janet Spottiswoode, daughter of Alexander Spottiswoode and Helen Trotter, on 22 August 1706.1,2 He died on 15 August 1734 at age 55, without issue.1,2
