     Robert Hamilton Gladstone was born on 17 July 1953.2 He is the son of John Gladstone of Capenoch and Diana Rosamond Maud Fleming Hamilton.2 He married Margaret Jane Bradford, daughter of Brigadier Berenger Colborne Bradford and Susan Vaughan-Lee, on 16 January 1982.1
     Robert Hamilton Gladstone was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.2 He graduated from Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).2 He was registered as a Professional Associate, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (A.R.I.C.S.) in 1977.2
