     Sir William Windham was born on 12 November 1864.1 He was the son of Ashe Windham and Juliet Alexa Maclean.1 He married Blanche Marie Titren, daughter of Achille Erneste Titren, on 10 April 1894.1 He died on 21 March 1961 at age 96.1
     He was educated at Diocesan College, Rondebosch, Cape Province, South AfricaG.1 He was in Government Service of Zululand between 1882 and 1897.1 He held the office of Registrar-General of Natal in 1901.1 He held the office of Secretary of Native Affairs of Transvaal between 1901 and 1910.1 He held the office of Member of the Legislative Council (M.L.C.) [Natal] between 1905 and 1907.1 He was with the Board of Trade between 1912 and 1917.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1917.1 He was with the Ministry of Labour between 1917 and 1922.1 He was appointed Knight in 1923.1

     Richard Grey, 3rd Earl of Kent was born in 1481.1,2 He was the son of George Grey, 2nd Earl of Kent and Lady Anne Woodville.1 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Hussey, daughter of Sir William Hussey and Elizabeth Berkeley.2 He married, secondly, Margaret Fynche, daughter of James Fynche, circa 23 January 1520/21.3 He died on 3 May 1523, without issue.1
     He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of Kent [E., 1465] on 25 December 1503.2 He succeeded as the 6th Baron Grey, of Ruthin [E., 1325] on 25 December 1503.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Buckinghamshire.3 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Huntingdonshire in 1504.3 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.) in 1505.3 He gained the rank of Captain in 1513 in the King Henry VIII's French expedition.3 He fought in the Siege of Therouenne.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Bedfordshire.3
