David Arthur Russell Howell, Baron Howell of Guildford was born on 18 January 1936.2 He is the son of Colonel Arthur Howard Eckford Howell and Beryl Stuart Bowater.1 He married Cary Davina Wallace, daughter of Major David John Wallace and Joan Prudence Magor, in 1967.2
