     Walter Fitzgerald Knox Lyon was born on 29 February 1844. He was the son of George Lyon and Phoebe Johnson. He married Isabella Romanes Towers-Clarke on 20 June 1883. He died on 28 May 1894 at age 50.

     Her married name became Maxwell.
