     John Hervey was born on 18 August 1616.2 He was the son of Sir William Hervey and Susan Jermyn.1,2 He married Elizabeth Hervey, daughter of Henry Hervey, 1st and last Baron Hervey of Kidbrooke.1 He died on 18 January 1679 at age 62, without issue.2
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)2 He was Treasurer to the Household of Catherine of Braganza.2 He lived at Ickworth, Suffolk, EnglandG.2

     Penelope Darcy is the daughter of Thomas Darcy, 1st Earl Rivers and Mary Kitson.1,3 She married, firstly, Sir George Trenchard before 1611.3 She married, secondly, Sir John Gage, 1st Bt., son of Thomas Gage and Elizabeth Guilford, circa 28 June 1611.1 She married, thirdly, Sir William Hervey, son of John Hervey and Frances Bocking, in 1642.1
     From before 1611, her married name became Trenchard.3 From circa 28 June 1611, her married name became Gage.1 From 1642, her married name became Hervey.1

Thomas Darcy, 1st Earl Rivers1

     Thomas Darcy, 1st Earl Rivers was born circa 1565.2 He was the son of John Darcy, 2nd Baron Darcy of Chiche and Frances Rich.2,3 He married Mary Kitson, daughter of Sir Thomas Kitson and Lady Elizabeth Cornwallis. He died on 25 February 1639/40, without surviving male issue.4
     He was created 1st Viscount Colchester [England] on 5 July 1621. He was created 1st Earl Rivers [England] on 4 November 1626.

     Sir John Gage, 1st Bt. was the son of Thomas Gage and Elizabeth Guilford.2 He married Penelope Darcy, daughter of Thomas Darcy, 1st Earl Rivers and Mary Kitson, circa 28 June 1611.1 He died on 3 October 1633.2
     He was created 1st Baronet Gage, of Firley, co. Sussex [England] on 26 March 1622.3

     Lady Elizabeth Hervey was born on 9 December 1697.3 She was the daughter of John Hervey, 1st Earl of Bristol and Elizabeth Felton.1 She married Bussy Mansell, 4th Baron Mansell of Margam, son of Sir Thomas Mansell, 1st Baron Mansell of Margam and Martha Millington, on 17 May 1724.4 She died in September 1727 at age 29, without issue.3
     From 17 May 1724, her married name became Mansell.4

     Hon. Thomas Hervey was born on 20 January 1698/99.1 He was the son of John Hervey, 1st Earl of Bristol and Elizabeth Felton.1 He married Anne Coghlan, daughter of Francis Coghlan, in 1744.1 He died in January 1775.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bury St. Edmunds.1 He was Equerry to Queen Caroline.1
