Maria Foote was born in June 1798 at Plymouth, Devon, England. She was the daughter of Samuel Foote.1 She married Maj.-Gen. Charles Stanhope, 4th Earl of Harrington, son of General Charles Stanhope, 3rd Earl of Harrington and Jane Fleming, on 7 April 1831 at Elvaston Hall, Derbyshire, England.1 She died on 27 December 1867 at age 69 at London, England.1
