     Lt.-Col. George Booth Tyrwhitt-Jones was born on 25 October 1830.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas John Tyrwhitt-Jones, 2nd Bt. and Eliza Walwyn Macnamara.1 He married Emma Matthews on 12 June 1874.1 He died on 28 April 1875 at age 44, at sea off Aden, without issue.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Bombay S.C.1
