Patrick Barclay of Towie1

     Patrick Barclay of Towie was the son of Sir Patrick Barclay of Towie and Janet Elphinstone.1 He married Anne Drummond, daughter of Patrick Drummond, 3rd Lord Drummond and Lady Elizabeth Lindsay, on 22 June 1602.1 He died before 30 April 1624.1
     In June 1589 he was wounded in the attack which killed his father.1 In October 1592 he was granted by King James VI letters of slain against his father's assassin, Meldrum of Moncoffer.1

     Anne Drummond was born in 1583.2 She was the daughter of Patrick Drummond, 3rd Lord Drummond and Lady Elizabeth Lindsay.1 She married, firstly, Patrick Barclay of Towie, son of Sir Patrick Barclay of Towie and Janet Elphinstone, on 22 June 1602.1 She married, secondly, Andrew Fraser, 1st Lord Fraser, son of Michael Fraser and Isobel Forbes, after 1624.1 She died in 1640.3
     From 22 June 1602, her married name became Barclay.1 From after 1624, her married name became Fraser.1

     Andrew Fraser, 1st Lord Fraser was the son of Michael Fraser and Isobel Forbes.2 He married, firstly, Lady Elizabeth Douglas, daughter of Robert Douglas, 4th Earl of Buchan and Christian Stewart, Countess of Buchan, circa 1592.2 He married, secondly, Anne Drummond, daughter of Patrick Drummond, 3rd Lord Drummond and Lady Elizabeth Lindsay, after 1624.1 He died on 10 December 1636.2
     He was created 1st Lord Fraser [Scotland] on 29 June 1633, with special remainder to heirs male whatsoever.2

     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) [Scotland] in 1645.1 He was a Royalist during the Civil War.1

     She lived at Whittinghame, Berwickshire, ScotlandG.1 Her married name became Barclay.1 From 1679, her married name became Ogilvie.1
