     Jean Barclay of Towie-Barclay was born in 1727.² She was the daughter of Sir Alexander Barclay-Innes of Coxton and Towie-Barclay, 3rd Bt. and Helen Duff.¹ She married Robert Dalrymple, son of Sir Robert Dalrymple and Johanna Hamilton, on 22 July 1745.² She died in May 1746, without surviving issue.²
      On 20 January 1737 she was served heir to her mother.¹ From 22 July 1745, her married name became Dalrymple.¹

     Robert Dalrymple was the son of Sir Robert Dalrymple and Johanna Hamilton.^1,2 He married Jean Barclay of Towie-Barclay, daughter of Sir Alexander Barclay-Innes of Coxton and Towie-Barclay, 3rd Bt. and Helen Duff, on 22 July 1745.³ He died in 1745.¹

     Sir Hew Dalrymple of North Berwick, 2nd Bt. was born circa 1710.² He was the son of Sir Robert Dalrymple and Johanna Hamilton.^1,2 He married, firstly, Margaret Sainthill, daughter of Peter Sainthill, on 12 July 1743.² He married, secondly, Martha Edwin, daughter of Charles Edwin, on 17 August 1756.³ He died on 23 November 1790.³
     He was a practising Advocate in 1730.² He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Dalrymple, of North Berwick, co. Haddington [N.S., 1698] on 21 August 1734.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Haddington Burghs between 1742 and 1747.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Haddington between 1747 and 1761.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Haddington Burghs between 1761 and 1768.² He was Kiing's Remembrancer of Scotland in 1768.²
