     Jean Barclay of Towie was the daughter of Sir Alexander Barclay of Towie, 1st Bt. and Helen Duff.1 She married Robert Dalrymple, son of unknown Dalrymple, on 22 July 1745.1 She died in May 1746, without surviving issue.1
     On 20 January 1737 she was served heir to her mother.1 From 22 July 1745, her married name became Dalrymple of Towie.1

     Robert Dalrymple was the son of unknown Dalrymple.1 He married Jean Barclay of Towie, daughter of Sir Alexander Barclay of Towie, 1st Bt. and Helen Duff, on 22 July 1745.1 He died in 1745.1

     William Ruthven was the son of Sir William Ruthven and Katharine Stewart.2 He married Christian Barclay, daughter of Patrick Barclay of Towie and Anne Drummond, in 1621.3
     On after 1600 his name was legally changed to William Ballindean after the name of Ruthven was proscribed.1 He lived at Gardyne, Scotland.1
