     Jean Boyle was the daughter of John Boyle of Kelburn and Marion Craufurd.¹ She married William Barclay of Pierston, son of William Barclay of Pierston and Isobel Hamilton, on 24 May 1592.¹ She died in July 1631.¹

     John Boyle of Kelburn was the son of Patrick Boyle of Polruskane and Agnes Fraser.² He married Marion Craufurd, daughter of Hugh Craufurd of Kilbirnie.² He died on 1 August 1611.²
