     Catharine Lockhart was born before 1638. She was the daughter of Alexander Lockhart.1 She married Sir Robert Barclay of Pierston, 1st Bt., son of William Barclay of Pierston and Jean Boyle, on 4 August 1653.1 She died circa March 1658/59.2 She was buried on 7 March 1658/59.2
     From 4 August 1653, her married name became Barclay.1

     From 28 September 1659, her married name became Barclay.1

     Sir Robert Barclay of Pierston, 2nd Bt. was born on 21 February 1658.1 He was the son of Sir Robert Barclay of Pierston, 1st Bt. and Catharine Lockhart.1 He married Bethia Baird, daughter of Sir Robert Baird of Saughtonhall, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Fleming.1 He died on 15 August 1717 at age 59 at Pierston, Ayrshire, ScotlandG.1,2
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Barclay, of Pierston, co. Ayr [N.S., 1668] in 1694/95.1 He was Commissioner of Supply for Ayrshire in 1704.2

     Bethia Baird was the daughter of Sir Robert Baird of Saughtonhall, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Fleming.1 She married Sir Robert Barclay of Pierston, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Robert Barclay of Pierston, 1st Bt. and Catharine Lockhart.1 She died circa January 1731.1 She was buried on 21 January 1731 at High Churchyard, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, ScotlandG.1
     Her married name became Barclay.1

Sir Robert Barclay of Pierston, 3rd Bt.1

     Sir Robert Barclay of Pierston, 3rd Bt. was baptised on 11 January 1676/77.2 He was the son of Sir Robert Barclay of Pierston, 2nd Bt. and Bethia Baird.1 He died in 1728 at Aachen, GermanyG, unmarried.1,2
     In 1715 he joined the Jacobites, and escaped abroad.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Barclay, of Pierston, co. Ayr [N.S., 1668] before 1717.1 On 22 August 1720 he sold the estate of Pierston.1

     Sir James Barclay of Pierston, 4th Bt. was born after 1678.2 He was the son of Sir Robert Barclay of Pierston, 2nd Bt. and Bethia Baird.1 He married unknown Bloyes, daughter of Captain William Bloyes, circa 1710.1 He died on 12 January 1755 at London, EnglandG.1
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Barclay, of Pierston, co. Ayr [N.S., 1668] in 1728.1 He graduated from University of Glasgow, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, ScotlandG, in 1734 with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)1 He gained the rank of Surgeon in the Royal Navy.1
