     Mary Foard was the daughter of Robert Ford and Frances Glemham.2 She married, firstly, Sir William Bamburgh, 1st Bt., son of Thomas Bamburgh and Catharine Thimelby, before 1606.2 She married, secondly, Thomas Fairfax, 1st Viscount Fairfax of Emley, son of Sir William Fairfax and Jane Stapleton, circa 1 January 1626/27.2 She died in March 1638/39.2
     She was also known as Mary Ford.2 From before 1606, her married name became Bamburgh.2 From 1 January 1626/27, her married name became Fairfax.2 After her marriage, Mary Foard was styled as Viscountess Fairfax of Emmeley on 10 February 1628/29.

     Sir Thomas Bamburgh, 2nd Bt. was born circa 12 February 1607.1 He was the son of Sir William Bamburgh, 1st Bt. and Mary Foard.1 He died on 3 June 1624, without issue.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Bamburgh, of Howson, co. Kent [E., 1619] on 18 July 1623.1
