     Major Philip Fleming was born on 15 August 1889.2 He was the son of Robert Fleming and Sarah Kate Hindmarsh.3 He married Joan Cecil Hunloke, daughter of Major Sir Philip Hunloke and Sylvia Heseltine, on 28 April 1924.2 He died on 13 October 1971 at age 82.2

     Bertram Aykroyd was born on 17 September 1915.1 He was the son of Sir Frederick Alfred Aykroyd, 1st Bt. and Lily May Roberts.1 He married, firstly, Margot Graham-Brown, daughter of Leonard Graham-Brown, on 5 October 1938.1 He married, secondly, Catalina Marchington, daughter of Henry Marchington, on 28 September 1949.1 He and Margot Graham-Brown were divorced in 1947.1 He died on 13 December 1983 at age 68.1,2
     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry.1

     Margot Graham-Brown is the daughter of Leonard Graham-Brown.1 She married, firstly, Bertram Aykroyd, son of Sir Frederick Alfred Aykroyd, 1st Bt. and Lily May Roberts, on 5 October 1938.1 She and Bertram Aykroyd were divorced in 1947.1
     From 5 October 1938, her married name became Aykroyd.1 She was appointed Dame Commander, Order of the British Empire (D.B.E.) in 1974.1 She gained the title of Dame Margot Smith in 1974.1
