Sir Andrew Kerr, 1st Lord Jedburgh was the son of Sir Thomas Kerr of Ferniehirst and Janet Kirkaldy.1 A contract for the marriage of Sir Andrew Kerr, 1st Lord Jedburgh and Anna Stewart was signed on 20 October 1584.1 He married, secondly, Katherine McCulloch circa 2 July 1621.2 He died after 20 April 1633, without surviving male issue.2
He held the office of Heriditary Baillie of Jedbergh Forest.1 He held the office of Gentleman of the Bedchamber in February 1584/85.1 He was invested as a Knight before 1604.1 He was created 1st Lord Jedburgh [Scotland] on 2 February 1621/22, with special remainder to his heirs male and successors in the family of Ferniehurst bearing the name and arms of Kerr.1 He lived at Ferniehirst, Midlothian, Scotland.

Robert Kerr, 4th Lord Jedburgh was the son of Sir James Kerr and Mary Rutherford.1 He married Christian Hamilton, daughter of Alexander Hamilton of Innerwick, before 1656.1 He died on 4 August 1692, without issue.1
