     James Molyneux Caulfeild, 3rd Earl of Charlemont was born on 6 October 1820.1 He was the son of Hon. Henry Caulfeild and Elizabeth Margaret Browne.2 He married, firstly, Hon. Elizabeth Jane Somerville, daughter of William Meredyth Somerville, 1st Baron Meredyth and Lady Maria Harriet Conyngham, on 18 December 1856.3 He married, secondly, Anna Lucy Lambart, daughter of Reverend Charles James Lambart and Marian Smith, on 10 May 1883 at British Consulate, Pau, France.4 He died on 12 January 1892 at age 71 at Biarritz, France, without issue.4 He was buried on 16 January 1892 at Armagh Cathedral, Armagh, County Armagh, Ireland.4 His will was probated on 21 April 1892.4
     James Molyneux Caulfeild, 3rd Earl of Charlemont was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.4 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for County Armagh between 1847 and 1857.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of County Armagh between 1849 and 1864.1 He succeeded to the title of 3rd Earl of Charlemont, co. Armagh [I., 1763] on 26 December 1863.1 He succeeded to the title of 6th Viscount Charlemont, co. Armagh [I., 1665] on 26 December 1863.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baron Charlemont, of Charlemont, co. Armagh [U.K., 1837] on 26 December 1863.1 He succeeded to the title of 10th Lord Caulfeild, Baron of Charlemont, co. Armagh [I., 1620] on 26 December 1863. He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of County Tyrone between 1864 and 1892.1 He was invested as a Knight, Order of St. Patrick (K.P.) on 28 December 1865.4
     On his death, his Earldom, and his U.K. Barony expired.1
