     Cäcilie von Holstein-Gottorp, Princess of Sweden was born on 22 June 1807 at Stockholm, Sweden^G.¹ She was the daughter of Gustaf IV Adolf von Holstein-Gottorp, King of Sweden and Friederike Dorothea Wilhelmine Prinzessin von Baden.¹ She married Paul Friedrich August von Holstein-Gottorp, Grand Duke of Oldenburg, son of Peter I Friedrich Ludwig von Holstein-Gottorp, Grand Duke of Oldenburg and Friederike Herzogin von Württemberg, on 5 May 1831 at Vienna, Austria^G.² She died on 27 January 1844 at age 36 at Oldenburg, Niedersachsen, Germany^G.¹
     She gained the title of Princess Cäcilie of Sweden.³

     Paul Friedrich August von Holstein-Gottorp, Grand Duke of Oldenburg was born on 13 July 1783 at Rastede, Niedersachsen, Germany^G.¹ He was the son of Peter I Friedrich Ludwig von Holstein-Gottorp, Grand Duke of Oldenburg and Friederike Herzogin von Württemberg.¹ He married, firstly, Adelheid Prinzessin von Anhalt-Bernburg-Schaumburg-Hoym, daughter of Viktor II Prinz von Anhalt-Bernburg-Schaumburg-Hoym and Amelie Prinzessin von Nassau-Weilburg, on 24 July 1817.¹ He married, secondly, Ida Prinzessin von Anhalt-Bernburg-Schaumburg-Hoym, daughter of Viktor II Prinz von Anhalt-Bernburg-Schaumburg-Hoym and Amelie Prinzessin von Nassau-Weilburg, on 24 June 1823 at Oldenburg, Niedersachsen, Germany^G.² He married, thirdly, Cäcilie von Holstein-Gottorp, Princess of Sweden, daughter of Gustaf IV Adolf von Holstein-Gottorp, King of Sweden and Friederike Dorothea Wilhelmine Prinzessin von Baden, on 5 May 1831 at Vienna, Austria^G.² He was also reported to have been married on 24 June 1824 at Oldenburg, Germany^G. He died on 27 February 1853 at age 69 at Oldenburg, Niedersachsen, Germany^G.¹
     He gained the title of Grand Duke August of Oldenburg in 1829.³

     Karola Vasa von Holstein-Gottorp, Princess of Sweden was born on 5 August 1833 at Schloss Schönbrunn, Vienna, Austria^G.² She was the daughter of Gustaf von Holstein-Gottorp, Prince of Vasa and Luise Amelie Stephanie Prinzessin von Baden.¹ She married Albrecht I König von Sachsen, son of Johann I König von Sachsen and Amalie Auguste Prinzessin von Bayern, on 18 June 1853 at Dresden, Sachsen, Germany^G.³ She died on 15 December 1907 at age 74 at Dresden, Sachsen, Germany^G.³
     She gained the title of Princess Karola of Sweden.¹ She was given the name of Caroline Frederica Franzisca Stephanie Amelia Cecilie von Holstein-Gottorp at birth.

     Albrecht I König von Sachsen was born on 23 April 1828 at Dresden, Sachsen, Germany^G.² He was the son of Johann I König von Sachsen and Amalie Auguste Prinzessin von Bayern.^2,3 He married Karola Vasa von Holstein-Gottorp, Princess of Sweden, daughter of Gustaf von Holstein-Gottorp, Prince of Vasa and Luise Amelie Stephanie Prinzessin von Baden, on 18 June 1853 at Dresden, Sachsen, Germany^G.² He died on 19 June 1902 at age 74 at Schloss Sibyllenort, Silesia, Germany.²
     He was given the name of Friedrich August Albert Anton Ferdinand Joseph Karl Maria Baptist Nepomuk Wilhelm Xaver Georg Fidelis at birth. He gained the title of Prinz von Sachsen. He succeeded as the König von Sachsen in 1873.³

     Friedrich August Oldenburg, Grand Duke of Oldenburg was born on 20 September 1711. He was the son of Christian August Herzog von Holstein-Gottorp and Albertine Markgräfin von Baden-Durlach.² He married Ulrike Friederike Wilhelmine Prinzessin von Hessen-Kassel, daughter of Maximilian Landgraf von Hessen-Kassel and Friederike Charlotte Prinzessin von Hessen-Darmstadt, on 21 November 1752. He died on 6 July 1785 at age 73 at Oldenburg, Germany^G.
     He gained the title of Duke of Holstein-Gottorp. He gained the title of Grand Duke August of Oldenburg.¹ He held the office of Bishop of Lubeck.

     Ulrike Friederike Wilhelmine Prinzessin von Hessen-Kassel was born on 31 October 1722. She was the daughter of Maximilian Landgraf von Hessen-Kassel and Friederike Charlotte Prinzessin von Hessen-Darmstadt.² She married Friedrich August Oldenburg, Grand Duke of Oldenburg, son of Christian August Herzog von Holstein-Gottorp and Albertine Markgräfin von Baden-Durlach, on 21 November 1752. She died on 28 February 1787 at age 64.
     She gained the title of Prinzessin von Hessen-Kassel.¹

     Carl Adolf von Holstein-Gottorp, Prince of Sweden was born on 4 July 1798 at Stockholm, Sweden^G.¹ He was the son of Karl XIII von Holstein-Gottorp, King of Sweden and Hedwige Elisabeth Charlotte Oldenburg, Princess of Oldenburg.¹ He died on 10 July 1798 at Stockholm, Sweden^G.¹
     He gained the title of Prince Carl Adolf of Sweden.¹

     Friederike Herzogin von Württemberg was born on 27 July 1765 at Treptow, Brandenburg, Germany^G.¹ She was the daughter of Friedrich II Eugen Heinrich Herzog von Württemberg and Friederike Dorothea Prinzessin von Brandenburg-Schwedt.² She married Peter I Friedrich Ludwig von Holstein-Gottorp, Grand Duke of Oldenburg, son of Georg Ludwig Prinz von Holstein-Gottorp and Sophie Charlotte von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Beck, on 6 June 1781.² She was also reported to have been married on 26 June 1781. She died on 24 November 1785 at age 20 at Vienna, Austria^G.¹
