     Her married name became Ryder.

     Sir Lionel Edward Hamilton Marmaduke Darell, 6th Bt. was born on 2 April 1876 at Fretherne House, Gloucestershire, England.2,3 He was the son of Sir Lionel Edward Darell, 5th Bt. and Helen Frances Marshland.2 He married Eleanor Marion Edwards-Heathcote, daughter of Captain Justinian Heathcote Edwards-Heathcote, on 21 April 1903.2 He died on 27 May 1954 at age 78.2
     He was Aide-de-Camp to General Officer Commanding of Cape Colony between 1909 and 1912.2 He gained the rank of Major in the 1st Life Guards.2 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1917, where he was mentioned in despatches twice.2 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.2 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Darell, of Ancaster House, Richmond Hill, Surrey [G.B., 1795] on 17 February 1919.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Gloucestershire.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Gloucstershire in 1924.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Gloucestershire.2 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in 1936 in the 5th Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment.2
