Vice-Admiral Sir John Michael Villiers was born on 22 June 1907.1 He was the son of Rear-Admiral Edward Cecil Villiers and Anne Gordon Haynes-Smith.2 He married Rosemary Grissell, daughter of Lt.-Col. Bernard Salwey Grissell, on 3 November 1936.1 He died on 1 January 1990 at age 82 at Melton Woodbridge, Suffolk, England.3
