     Hon. Sir William Augustus Curzon Barrington was born on 28 January 1842.1 He was the son of William Keppel Barrington, 6th Viscount Barrington of Ardglass and Hon. Jane Elizabeth Liddell.1 He died on 23 February 1922 at age 80.1
     He was with the Diplomatic Service between 1860 and 1904.1 He held the office of Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Argentina between 1896 and 1902.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1901.1 He held the office of Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Sweden between 1902 and 1904.1

     He gained the rank of Flying Officer in the Royal Air Force.1
