     Captain John McClintock was born in 1687.1 He was the son of William McClintock and Elizabeth Harvey.1 He married Rebecca McCausland, daughter of Colonel Robert McCausland and Hannah Moore, on 4 December 1728.1 He died in 1752 at Strabane, County Londonderry, Ireland.1
     He gained the rank of Captain on 27 December 1745 in the Donegal Militia.1 He gained the rank of Captain on 30 December 1745 in the Tyrone Militia.1 He lived at Dunmore House, Carrigans, County Donegal, Ireland.1
