Sir James Stonhouse, 7th/10th Bt. was born on 9 July 1716.1 He was the son of Richard Stonhouse and Caroline (?)2 He married, firstly, Anne Neale, daughter of John Neale and Frances Pope, on 20 May 1742.1 He married, secondly, Sarah Ekins, daughter of Thomas Ekins, on 18 November 1754.1 He died on 8 December 1795 at age 79.1
     He was educated at St. John's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He was Rector between 1763 and 1795 at Great Cheverel, Wiltshire, England.1 He was physician at Northampton Infirmary, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England.1 He succeeded as the 10th Baronet Stonhouse, of Radley, Berkshire [E., 1628] on 13 April 1792.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Stonhouse [E., 1670] on 13 April 1792.1
